Workshop Excellence Webinar Series
Practical Implementation of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Requirements

Defining Organizational Responsibilities
Effectively Using the Technical Manager, Quality Manager and Key Personnel

This 2-hour interactive webcast is the 6th installment of our popular Quality and Accreditation series. It focuses on how Organizational and Management responsibilities interact with the roles of the Technical Manager, Quality Manager and key personnel to form an effective management system that promotes continuous improvement and client satisfaction, and empowers key personnel to meet and exceed accreditation requirements.

Who Should Watch?

  • Laboratory Management
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Staff
  • Assessors

The TNI 2009 EL Standard and embedded ISO 17025 provisions can be confusing to understand and implement, but it is not as difficult as it seems. Overall responsibilities and accountabilities for operating and managing a quality system are discussed. Defining an organization that meets the background, skills, experience, and training requirements as well as the roles and responsibilities of key personnel including the Technical manager and Quality Manager is critical to reaping the benefits of an empowered staff.

Organization and roles of key personnel change as the size of the organization changes. Some of the ways to accomplish meeting the Standard requirements without creating a whole new bureaucracy will be explored.

Real life organizational structures and tools to facilitate management implementation in small organizations will be a strong focus. Questions and polling feedback will provide opportunities for interaction.

This webcast is geared to participation by laboratory management and technical personnel, specifically supervisors, managers, and QA professionals, as well as assessors from the private and public sectors.

This on-demand webcast is an audio/visual recording of a webinar that was recorded on February 8, 2013.
