Standard Interpretation
Standard: 2016
Section: V1M4, Section 1.6.3.2 (c)
REQUEST:
Per TNI V1M4 section 1.6.3.2: "This on-going demonstration may be one of the following: c) at least four (4) consecutive laboratory control samples with acceptable levels of precision and accuracy." I would like clarification on the word "consecutive". There are some analysts within the lab that interpret this as four LCS in a row on the same day, while others interpret this as one LCS prepared/analyzed on four different days (in a row).
TNI FINAL RESPONSE:
Either of the instances described are acceptable per the Standard. Consecutive means four LCSs per analyst prepared and/or analyzed without intervening LCSs, regardless of timeframe.
