Pursuant to Section 3.2 of SOP 2-100 (Procedures Governing Standards Development), notification of proposed standards activity is hereby given. The TNI Microbiology and Radiochemistry Expert Committees propose to revise Modules 5 (Microbiological Testing) and 6 (Radiochemical Testing) respectively of Volume 1 of the 2009 TNI Environmental Laboratory Sector Standard. The revisions will reflect changing needs in laboratory testing, quality assurance and quality control. All affected stakeholders in the TNI designated interest groups of Laboratories, Accreditation Bodies, and Others are invited to participate and comment on these activities. Any written comments asserting that the proposed standards duplicate or conflict with existing consensus standards developed by another recognized organization should be sent to the Consensus Standards Development Program administrator ([email protected]), to be received no later than 30 days from the date of publication (06-24-2013) of this notice.

on a variety of topics of interest to the environmental measurement community. TNI also hosts two regularly scheduled meetings per year, typically in January and August. Both are a week long and involve open meetings of TNI committees as well as training courses and other special sessions.
