Notice of Proposed Standards Activity

Volume 1 of the TNI Environmental Sector Standard was recently modified and approved by the membership. The resulting 2016 Standard did not include an update of Module 7 (Quality Systems for Toxicity Testing). The Whole Effluent Toxicity Expert Committee now proposes to begin work to modify Module 7.
Pursuant to SOP 2-100, notification of this proposed standards activity is being announced to demonstrate the opportunity for participation by all directly and materially affected persons. Any comments asserting that a proposed standard duplicates or conflicts with an existing consensus standard developed by another recognized organization should be sent to [email protected] within thirty (30) days from the publication date of the announcement (i.e., no later than February 15, 2017).

develop consensus standards for use by TNI's programs. This group has a support role in assisting other programs with activities such as guidance and standards interpretation.

Field Activities Program (NEFAP) Executive Committee is to establish and implement an accreditation program for field sampling and measurement organizations (FSMOs).
on a variety of topics of interest to the environmental measurement community. TNI also hosts two regularly scheduled meetings per year, typically in January and August. Both are a week long and involve open meetings of TNI committees as well as training courses and other special sessions.
