Date Posted: 4-17-2019
The TNI Laboratory Accreditation Body Expert Committee is providing an outline of the proposed changes that both combines Volume 2 Modules 1 and 3 into one module, and also updates the module so that it is based on the 2017 revision of ISO/IEC 17011. This outline of proposed changes is located at this link: https://nelac-institute.org/docs/standards/2019/EL-V2-Summary.pdf.
The comment period will be open for sixty (60) days. Please send your comments and proposed revised text by June 16, 2019 to both Carl Kircher ([email protected]) and Lynn Bradley, the Program Administrator for the LAB Expert Committee ([email protected]). All comments will be tracked by Lynn and you will be notified of the committee’s response to your comment.
The LAB Expert Committee is also providing a description of the process used for combining the two modules from the 2009 Standard and then transferring the TNI additional language from the 2004 version of ISO/IEC 17011 into the 2017 version. That description is located at this link: https://nelac-institute.org/docs/standards/2019/EL-V2-ProcessBackground.pdf.
Additionally, for TNI members, a copy of the draft language of the proposed revised module V2M1 is located in the Members Only section of the TNI website. Click here to go there now.
